From studio environments to live concert stages, modern audio workflows increasingly depend on the ability to connect different technologies quickly, reliably, and with minimal complexity.

At a recent concert in Chiang Mai, Thailand, one of our users demonstrated exactly where the AAVARO™ AVIO-C fits into a professional live sound workflow.

Connecting Dante Audio to Waves SuperRack

For this production, the audio system was built around a Dante network, while Waves SuperRack was used as part of the live audio processing workflow.

The requirement was straightforward: bring audio from the Dante network into the computer through USB-C.

This is where the AAVARO™ AVIO-C came into the setup.

The AVIO-C acts as a compact 2×2 Dante-to-USB audio bridge, allowing Dante audio channels to be connected directly to a USB-C equipped computer. Instead of introducing a larger interface simply to bridge these two environments, AVIO-C provides a compact connection point between networked audio and the computer-based processing workflow.

For a touring or concert environment, where equipment footprint and setup simplicity matter, this can make the workflow significantly more practical.

Small Device, Practical Role

Waves SuperRack is designed to bring real-time plugin processing into professional live sound environments, including FOH and monitor workflows.

In this Chiang Mai deployment, AAVARO™ AVIO-C provided the bridge that allowed our user to integrate Dante audio with the USB-C based processing system.

And that is exactly what the AAVARO™ AVIO Series is designed for: solving the connection between different parts of today's AV ecosystem without unnecessarily complicating the system.

With support for 2×2 Dante audio, sample rates up to 96 kHz, and a compact USB-C form factor, AVIO-C can become a useful tool not only for live sound, but also for recording, streaming, broadcast, conferencing, and other applications where Dante audio needs to enter or leave a computer.

AAVARO™ — Create. Connect. Control.

Seeing AAVARO™ AVIO-C being used in a real concert environment in Chiang Mai, Thailand is another example of how a small piece of technology can play an important role within a much larger professional AV workflow.

From the Dante network to the processing computer, AVIO-C makes the connection.
